    Amos 在這張專輯裡嘗試拓展歌曲題材，前幾張專輯總是以一個都市中巡遊者角度出發 ，有時漫遊有時停駐，有時年輕有時滄桑，有時寫看到的，有時寫經歷的。而本曲 Cup of Sorrow 關心了社會底層民種努力討生活的樣貌，與 out of the cold 關心傷殘戰士的題材算是比較偏社會面向的歌。本曲曲調活潑，有時用近乎嘶喊的方式唱出，用意應是希望人們多多關注那努力求生的人們。一杯憂愁下肚以後，是否真能分享那坐困底層的無奈呢?
